Thanks Bob, looks good as always. I'm interested as to how it compares to the same scenario in the ToB book.

I wasn't aware there was one in the book never really looked at the scenarios
Having now looked ant the scenario in the book the defending forces look about right, but all the references I have indicate that the majority of 18PD was much further west. In deed when I was designing my scenario I was in two minds about whether to include ANY of 18PD in the scenario. I decided to do so as Soviet accounts mention Pz-IV but there could well have been a confusion between Ponyri 1, Ponyri 2 and Ponyri Station. The PD was attacking in the area of Ponyri 1 which IIRC is about 6-8km west of Ponyri Station

Don't tell Jack, it'll just go to his head.
Seriously, I find Bob's and Jack's material some of the most dependable on the web.

Well, it might go to my head if,
1) I wasn't wearing a hat
2) my hair wasn't so long
3) I had done the research myself.
I have such a great view because I stand on the shoulders of giants. Thank Marshal Sharposhnikov, who does all this research (and I mean an enormous quantity of research, paying out of pocket for people digging in the archives over there, and translating and compiling an enormous data base - Gehlen fortunately did not know as much). And I think its fair to say Charles' eyes are not as young as mine... He taught himself Russian and some Ukrainian and Polish... just for fun. We are all in his eternal debt.

That looks like alot of fun. I'll have to buy a pack of brummbars and give this one a try. We played it at the weekend, its definitely balanced, it will be interesting to see if anyone else can get other than a draw
The Ferdinand might be awesome against tanks especially when playing with my revised gun stats but without MG they are utter pants vs dug in infantry
